Aims

• Recruit quality experiences represent the most prominent science and mathematics education schools in international level, to participate in building distinct local experiences and develop their abilities.
• To play an active role to include larger numbers of students in science and mathematics fields, and play an effective role in training of science and mathematics teachers in public and higher education.
• Participating in developing curricula, science and mathematics education in university level and in public education.
• Participating in developing the educational and training programs for science and mathematics teachers as needed, and according to the demands of the modern directions and labor market.
• Conducting scientific researches and providing consultancies for the beneficiary and the interested bodies inside or outside Saudi.
• Integrating curriculum technologies in science and mathematics education, and making use of the modern approaches (materials and programs) in developing science and mathematics education.
• Develop thinking and academic achievement in science and mathematics among students in general education by offering an international quality programs in science and mathematics education.
• Contribute to preparation of general education's students for international tests, competitions and Olympiad in science and mathematics.
• Prepare specialized databases in science and mathematics education and their research fields.
• Establish a number of cooperation relationships with the leading educational institutions in the same field inside and outside the Kingdom.
• Support postgraduate studies programs in science and mathematics education by offering scholarships to students and training abroad with in leading centers in the same field outside KSA.

Activities

1.    Develop a joint intellectual and scientific language among scientists and mathematicians, at (k-12) and university level, to assist in the formation of a harmonious and distinct knowledge society.

2.    Create partnerships with global quality research experiences to develop science and mathematics education and build local distinctive research expertise.

3.    Conduct national researches and projects to diagnose the reality of science and mathematics education in Saudi Arabia and the tools necessary for development.

4.    Support specialized research, authorship, translation and graduate students thesis and projects related to science and mathematics education.

5.    The preparation and implementation of training programs to develop the capacity of science and mathematics teachers, faculty members and students in accordance with contemporary needs and trends.

6.    Organize conferences, seminars, workshops and scientific lectures to contribute to the development of science and mathematics education.

7.    Provide education consulting and services as well as a variety of educational programs for the various beneficent categories through an interactive web portal.

8.    Encourage community awareness on the importance of science and mathematics education.
