ECSME Presents Research Experience In Conjunction with a Nobel Laureate in Italy

 

The ECSME, King Saud University, participated with a research paper in the conference on multimedia education of physics in the period 22-25/09/2009 which was held at the Adena University in Italy under the auspices of the European Society of Physics. Dr. Fahd S. Al Shaya, Director of the Center and Dr. Hisham Abdul Aziz Alhadlaq, Co-Director of the Center for Financial and Administrative Affairs represented the ECSME in the conference.
The participation comes as a result of joint work between researchers in the ECSME and the Initiative of Professor Carl Wieman (Noble laureate and King Faisal Prize in Science), University of Colorado – Boulder. The participation  also reflects the ECSME efforts to participate globally and ensure excellence in research and publishing and disseminate research findings.
"Our participation this year is to effectuate the research collaboration between the ECSME and the Carl Weiman Initiative in British Columbia, Canada and Colorado, Boulder, USA, Universities" said His Excellency Dr. Fahad S. Al Shaya, the Director of ECSME. "The paper has presented ECSME experience in the cooperation with a Nobel laureate regarding the effective use of technology and multimedia in learning and teaching physics and the Arabization of simulations and facilitate them for students and teachers. It also reviewed the most prominent technical or educational problems faced the work. ECSME experience has gained appreciation in the Conference" he said. Healso expressed thanks to the Ministry of Higher Education for their financial and moral support to the Center, and to His Excellency the president of king Saud University and the Vice-President for Graduate Studies and Research, for their support and ongoing encouragement.
