Riyadh is the capital and largest city of Saudi Arabia, situated in the center of the central region. Riyadh is one of the fast growing cities of the world. It is the largest Arab city, with an area of 1400 sq km and home to 6 million people, about one sixth of the country's total population. Saudis percentage of the population of Riyadh is about 68%. The name "Riyadh" in Arabic refers to gardens, which was derived from the nature of place, a lowland where water streams gather covering the lands with green meadows and various kinds of flowers.

The National Museums

The National Museum was established to be a national landmark in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia enrich education, cultural awareness and offer knowledge on the history of Arabian Peninsula the great message of Islam. The National Museum occupies an area of 17,000 square meters, located on the eastern side of the King Abdul Aziz Historical center.  The museum offers a modern learning environment for various generations of the community, and multiple levels, given the diversity of the exhibits, which include artifacts, documents and manuscripts display boards in addition to the use of modern technologies, as well as documentaries, scientific videos. The museum is well integrated with various exhibits providing a sequential progress of historical events from the beginning of the creation of the universe to the modern era.  The major interest of the museum revolves around the Arabian Peninsula. Each hall of the museum provide a unique, objective, independent and integrated display. The museum consists of 8 main galleries organized in a historic sequence according to architectural design takes into account chronological order of displayed items.

Masmak Fortress

Musmak Fortress is one of the most important historical monuments in the UK. It occupies a prominent place in the history of Saudi Arabia in general, and specially the history of Riyadh city. It represents a breakthrough that has been evacuated establishment and unification of the Kingdom, it was related to the heroic conquest of Riyadh by King Abdul Aziz bin Abdul Rahman Al Saud, may Allah have mercy on his soul in Shawwal 5, 1319H  1319 AH. It had to be occupied, because its seizure restores the city of Riyadh.

Ryadh Zoo

The zoo is a recreational place for residents and visitors of Riyadh city as an important place for recreation and education. The Zoo include large numbers of animals, birds and reptiles, with around1300 animals representing 164 species of animals, birds and reptiles in addition to some domestic and international endangered species.

Al Faisaliah Tower

Al Faisaliah center is one of the city's landmarks located in Olaya neighborhood northern Riyadh.  Faisaliah center consists of an office tower with 266 meters height that ranked No 40 among the world's highest buildings with thirty floors. The tower is constructed in a curved edges pyramid shape topped with a huge ball of glass. The tower also includes a shopping center of three floors with 150 shops. It also includes a five-star hotel overlooking to the heart of Riyadh.

Kingdom Tower

The Kingdom Tower is located in northern Riyadh, with its distinctive overlooking to the city. The tower can be seen from the farthest point in the city. The Kingdom Tower is located in the middle a junction of  three major roads in Riyadh. The Tower is 300 meter high, with 30 floors. It includes the five star Four Seasons Hotel, a shopping center in addition to a special shopping center for women.
