The Excellence Center of Science and Mathematics Education, King Saud will organize the 1st Conference of Excellence on Teaching and Learning Science and Mathematics with the Major theme: the Trend of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, STEM in education, May 5-7, 2015.

Themes of the Conference:

The conference themes are organized in three major areas, with some sub research themes for each one as follows:

1.      the Trend of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, STEM

Includes 5 sub-themes related to the Trend of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, STEM:

1.     Regional and international best practices in STEM,

2.     Reformation and renovation of general education in accordance with STEM requirements,

3.     Developing Science and Mathematics curricula in line with STEM,

4.     Science and Mathematics teachers education and professional development  in accordance with STEM requirements

5.     Science and Mathematics education assessment in line with STEM.

2.     Learning, Teaching and Curricula of Science and Mathematics

Includes 4 sub-themes on Science and Mathematics education:

1.     The utilization of technology and e-sources in Science and Mathematics education,

2.     Learning and Teaching Science and Mathematics,

3.     Science and Mathematics teachers education in general education levels and develop their professional performance,

4.     Development in Science and Mathematics curricula.

3.     Action Research .. Field Experience

Includes 2 sub-themes on  Action Research and Field Experience, which are special for practitioners such as teachers and educational supervisors, etc.:

1.     Action Research on Learning and Teaching Science and Mathematics,

2.     Field Experience and practices on Learning and Teaching Science and Mathematics.
